K3LV Cornwall UHF repeater digital voice upgrade
The new C4FM repeater was installed in place of the analog FM repeater at the Cornwall tower in early July, 2020. The Wires-X node was also installed and is operational. The K3LV node is normally in the Keystone-Wide room, accompanied by about 8 or 9 other nodes in PA. Looking for a room occupied by other Pennsylvania nodes we found the Keystone-Wide room and they welcomed our connection, in an effort to expand to more of Pennsylvania. Other PA nodes are welcome to home in that room as well.
The K3LV node is sometimes moved to other rooms for nets or general interest QSO’s, but the node will reconnect to Keystone-Wide after 30 minutes, if not in use at that time. Club members may move the node to other rooms as desired, but, one nice feature of the Wires-X system, you only need to simply transmit in C4FM mode on the repeater frequency, and you will be in whatever room is currently linked.
So, if you have a C4FM capable Yaesu radio, tune to 447.925 mHz, -5 offset, and jump in.
